Photogrammetric Services, previously referred to as Air Survey and now known as Remote Sensing, was the section of OS responsible for collection of data from aerial photography.
Its original location at Maybush was on the ground floor of North Block in purpose-built accommodation, including a suite of small darkrooms/photographic processing labs for developing the film from aircraft floor-mounted cameras.
In the 1990s, it moved to the 2nd floor of West Block in purpose built accommodation (W212) in the former warehouse area but by this time most of the work was digital.
