Caption: Bilby Store
Description: The Bilby Store in Services Block was named after the Bilby Towers it was presumably used to store. Bilby Towers were used for triangulation in terrain too flat for trig pillars to be effective (such as the East Anglia fens) but they must have became obsolete by the time I worked at OS. In 2008, the Bilby Store was used for stabling the forklift truck and for storing pallets of flat waste maps, obsolete IT equipment and several other odd items. The PC that can be seen was connected to the grey cabinet to its right that was an X ray machine for suspect packages - this was brought in after a recent bombscare incident (it just contained a map and a CD but had all the hallmarks of a suspect package).
