Contactors in A lift’s control cabinet, 24 Sep 2011. The open one on the left (1E) controls the motor speed, with this being the first to kick in and then 2E, which increases the speed and finally FE, the highest speed. As the elevator is stopped by the floor selector, they drop out it reverse order one by one to slow and then stop the lift. DO to the right is related to the door operations.
