W404 office. This was originally divided into several smaller spaces that were part of the 1968 computer suite but all traces of that have been removed apart from the plant room (W401) and the partition adjacent to the corridor leading to the far end of W404, it was presumably converted into office space and carpeted at some point, I’m guessing the 1980s or maybe later.
W404 was actually the first room I worked in at OS on what was then the IT Helpdesk. The rest of W404 was occupied by IT Services, the infrastructure side of IT as opposed to software development.
The IS infrastructure teams moved to C633 in the late 2000s and after that it was little used apart from being used for small-scale trials of new furniture that could have been purchased for Adanac Park. 24 Sep 2011.
