Description: Looking down into the Boiler House courtyard from the roof of F core penthouse. To this day, I do not know what the timber shed in the middle was used for! Although there is one solitary concrete planter to detract from the mass of concrete, the courtyard has always been far more functional than attractive. Top right can be seen the light blue cylinders that I think were related to the pressurisation system used on the print floor. The transformer and oil tanks serving the CHP to the left of the shed have been removed along with the CHP equipment itself, in contrast to all the other plant equipment so I am pretty sure OS/Kier must have found a buyer for it, which is good as it was only about 10 years old. 13 Sep 2011.
