West (G core) corner of Refrigeration Plant by door. I think this was part of the sprinkler system although I think the pumps were at B core. West Block was fitted with an extensive sprinkler system, which was needed in a building with so much water. The sprinkler heads were blocked by a bead that melted under heat so if there was a fire then it would only go off in the areas where the bead melted and not the whole building.
