G core lift motor room/machinery. This was installed in c 2003 by Guideline Lifts, who also replaced B lift and the two F lifts around the same time. The original lifts were of the same vintage as the others, ie late late 1960s. The control cabinet on the left was more sophisticated than the original Otis lifts -the new one had speech annunciation and used microprocessors rather than the mechanical and complex relay system. All the equipment in here was replaced although the lift car itself was retained and refurbished.
