W301 Manuscript Store: ONBs (Object Names Book) every plan had its own ONB, this listed the names of roads, buildings to be found on each plan, this was completed by the surveyor and used by the draughtsman to ensure correct spelling and type size of each name. Manuscript stores held many thousands of these and it is believed they were sent to the National Archives.
